Dermarolling / Microneedling / Trouble breaking the skin with a single needle

Dear Sarah,

I recently purchased some of your single needles to treat some fine lines on my face. I'm having a very hard time using them. It's often hard to break the skin on my face (I'm a man, so perhaps my skin is tougher than other clients). I've haven't encountered the same problem with your multi-needle rollers, but now I'm worried they weren't penetrating right either.

I also find pointing the single needle at my face very awkward.

Any advice?

As for the dark circle product I saw some results from over four months of use, it's Hylexin.

I'm plagued by dark circles, and several months ago started using a particular eye cream (not sure if I can mention the name) on my right eye to treat them. Over about four months, the circle under my right eye has faded noticeably.

I was wondering whether it might be beneficial to dermaroll my dark circles, allowing for better penetration of the product and possibly stimulating collagen production (my eyes are also quite sunken).
