Dermarolling / Microneedling / Re: beginner needs help
« Last post by SarahVaughter on October 16, 2013, 05:03:57 PM »
For the time being, I recommend buying our 0.5% Tretinoin cream and applying it every second day for at least eight weeks. It should unclog your pores and help diminish acne and post acne spots (do not apply it around the eyes and right underneath the nose but also apply it on your nose because you have clogged pores).  Tretinoin dries out the skin so you have to moisturize a lot. If the skin gets too irritated, reduce the frequency to three times a week. A pea size amount of the cream is enough for the entire face.

Buy also our 1.5 mm dermastamp with 35 needles (we are sold out now but we hopefully have them at the end of this week) and stamp the worst of your scars densely every three weeks. You have just minor scars.

Please email me with photos after you will have used Tretinon for at least eight weeks. It is a bit difficult to judge whether your uneven skin relief is caused mainly by scars or it is mainly pigmentation, clogged pores and just a few scars.  Depending how it looks after Tretinoin, you would or would not add a 1.5 mm regular dermaroller.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Re: Dermaroller and inflamation

Remember to do a patch test to see how your skin responds first.  The inflammation is needed in dermarolling because that's when the magic happens and the process gets started.

I thought there should only be no active acne on the areas you use dermaroller.
Acne is under control. But I am not in the state - ''no matter what I do, there will be no acne at all''. I take care of my body, immune system etc. by healthy lifestyle. I was doing much do prevent inflammation state in body, to prevent acne. Now I need to use dermaroller which triggers inflammation so I am affraid.

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Re: great customer service

I totally agree. The customer service and the information given about the products and how to use them is by far the best I have ever seen. It truly gives a honest impression. The price on your products are also low considering this type of products are hard to find elsewhere. I made an order this Monday and I saw that the price of the copper peptide serum bottle has dropped a bit.

From what I have read, that you have spare parts for the DermaJet and it makes me calm since it's no longer for sale. I hope my DermaJet will last long. I absolutely LOVE it. The one thing I still missed during the needling procedure was the individual needles so I ordered them also.

I have two scars on both sides of the upper part of my nose close to my eyes. It looks like marks after glasses but they are actually acne scars. The skin is thin and the area previously filled with Restylane  I recently used the DermaJet 0.2 mm (12 needle cartridge) (a little bleeding occured as normal) on these scars but what about using the single needle? You don't have to answer this if it doesn't belong here, just tell me to start a new thread or e-mail.

I hope you have recovered from the flu  :)

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Can weight loss make scars more prominent?
« Last post by KT on October 16, 2013, 10:06:04 AM »
Hello all,

I have recently started the dermarolling process for many acne scars on my face. I have performed my first session with the 2.0 roller and I do appear to be getting small improvements already. However, I am also about 50-60 pounds overweight. I was somewhere around 100 pounds overweight, but I have slowly been losing weight for about 4 months now. I have searched the forum for an answer to my question, and while I did find some threads about loose skin after weight loss, I could not find any information on whether losing weight can actually make scars appear worse because of lost fat and/or tissue, etc. in the face (or other places). I suppose it doesn't really make a difference because I will still continue to lose weight and dermaroll, but I want to brace myself, so to speak, for a negative outcome since I believe realistically this could happen. Any thoughts, opinions or relative experiences?

Dermarolling / Microneedling / Chicken pox scar
« Last post by fusion on October 16, 2013, 01:38:45 AM »
Hi,

I was just hoping to get a few pointers regarding the suction method.
Basically, when you're suctioning, is the scar tissue itself meant to invert? ie. I'm finding that the whole 'circle' area of skin lifts up, but 9/10 times the scar on the lifted skin is still inverted, if that makes sense?

If this is incorrect, does that essentially invalidate the procedure?

Attached is a pic of my horrible scars.

Any tips for scars like this?
I've needled a fair bit in the past and the biggest improvement was the texture and 'softening' of the scar tissue.

Acne should be under control before starting to Dermaroll.  If your acne is not under control, bacteria from the Active acne can spread to other parts of your face and cause new acne breakouts.  Search the forums for other topics on the matter.

After rolling, I like using Hyaluronic Acid (There's a serum in the web shop with Copper Peptides) becaause THAT doesn't clog my pores. THe infadolin is a bit too greasy for me and my skin is oily enough as is.  The Retin A doesn't clog your pores and neither does the Vitamin C.  I've never tried placing Vitamin C on after rolling because Vitamin C is irritating enough let alone going deeper into the blood stream.  In fact, the Retin A pushes everything out your skin (increased cell turnover) so that alone promotes clear pores.  Hope this helps.

It is said that dermaroller works by indicating inflamation. But what about skin which have predisposition to acne? I'm affraid that dermaroller (deep dermaroller using rather not often but always) by causing skin irritation and inflamation will cause acne back as well...
