Dermastamping or dermarolling for rolling scars?
« on: May 04, 2012, 04:22:28 AM »
I am a 17-year-old girl who suffers from hormonal acne, as a result, I have a bunch of rolling scars on my cheeks. I do not have any active acne. On my left cheek I have about 3 rolling scars which are quite wide and localized, but are shallow. They can only be seen when the light hits my face a certain way and it makes me very self-conscious. On my right cheek, I have 2 rolling scars but they are not wide and are also shallow. These scars are also about a few shades darker than my real skin tone (which I'm assuming is hyperpigmentation..)

I am planning to buy the derma stamp as I've heard that it's better for acne scars that are localized, which is what mine are. What else should I buy, and how often should I stamp? Help will be greatly appreciated!

Use a 1.5 mm dermastamp every three to four weeks.

Rolling scars are typically tethered to the underlying structures and that keeps them indented. You should combine stamping with an improvised suction method. The suction will loosen the strands that are pulling the scar down:
