How to Apply Vitamin C Solution

Couldn't find anything on this.  I have made my vitamin C solution in the amber glass container, but am not sure the appropriate method to get the solution out of the bottle and onto my skin.  Is it safe to use my finger and dip into the container?  It would seem if you used a cotton ball a lot of product would be lost into the cotton.  Please advise.  Thank you!

I have mine in an old bottle, I use cotton wool balls and they work for me.

A cotton ball can be squeezed until none of the vit. C solution remains.
